Photo 1 I selected this photo because this photo is one of my personal favorites. Compositionally, there is Pach in the foreground because he was trying to take a photo of me. Also there is the PAC in the background shown by the rows of seats and the curtain in the background. To take this photo I had the camera set on a fast shutter speed and a somewhat shallow depth of field in order to accentuate the details in Pach and his camera amongst the blurred background. |
Photo 2 The compositional element that is most apparent is the angle of which I took this photo. There is also my conversion to black and white that presents Sam as a smaller presence than myself. When I edited this photo, I adjusted the colors on Sam's shirt, making the contrasting strips more apparent. The camera was set to a very fast shutter speed. This photo reminds me of Sam, as he was in this photo. |
Photo 3 This photo was taken for the portrait assignment. What I like about this photo is the reflection in Coby's helmet. My point of view was centered. The photo follows the rule of thirds because Coby was presented in the middle of the two thirds. The depth of field is quite large despite the backdrop that closes off the field of vision. The ISO was set to 1000 and the Aperture was f/5.6. |
